If you're under 25, you must hold your P1 licence for 12 months before moving to P2.
If you're over 25, you can skip the P2 stage entirely after holding your P1 licence for 12 months, meaning you can progress directly from a P1 licence to a full, unrestricted licence.

To hire a bike arrive at the training centre at least 30 minutes before the start of your course or test. Bike type are hired on a first come first serve basis. We do have enough manual motorcycles for everyone, but only one scooter (auto) for hire on any course.3. We have a scooter available for hire for the Provisional Course and/or Skill Test Only- but we only have one scooter available for hire, so you will need to email us at flrt@dodo.com.au to book the scooter. You will need to advise us of the details of your course, including the course date. As there is only one scooter we cannot guarantee availabilty unless it is reserved. We will confirm this with a return email or phone call.4. Bike Hire Fees: $170 for the full course and skill test (full day 8:00am to 4:00pm) or $60 for the skill test only (2:30pm t0 4:00pm). A Hire agreement must be signed. Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the hire agreement as the bike hirer. You can email us to request this form and have it pre-signed before the course. ****** IMPORTANT: during the rental period the motorcycle or scooter that is hired is not insured and does not have a loss or damage waiver. You or your parent or guardian who signs the form is responsible for any loss or damage to the vehicle (and related losses and fees) up to the value of full replacement cost of the vehicle even if it is not your fault. 7. The hirer must accept full responsibility for any damage that occurs to the bike, regardless of fault. This is a condition of hire.8. For Provisonal Courses or Skills Test Only - All students must supply ALL their own riding gear and clothing - helmet, gloves, jacket. boots, wet weather gear etc. We DO NOT hire out or loan this gear when we are hiring you a motorcycle. Learner courses are different as motorcycles and riding gear are supplied.9. Bikes CANNOT be hired out to anyone once the course or test commences. CAN I USE MY OWN BIKE FOR LEARNER (L'S) COURSES? If you are too short, too tall etc, for the bikes that we provide, or if you want to learn on a scooter (auto) and the only scooter we have is already hired out, you may be able to use your own motorcycle for the Learner Course, if you meet the following criteria: Using Own Motorcycle on Learner Course The information below outlines what is required when a Customer requests to bring their own suitable Motorcycle to a Learner Course. A Rider Training provider is required to supply a range of motorcycles to meet most customer requirements. It is acknowledged the training provider may not be able to provide a motorcycle for all body types or needs. When the provider is unable to supply a suitable motorcycle, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) can approve for a customer to supply their own LAMS approved motorcycle, providing it meets suitable “for safe roads use” standards, it is legally transported to and from the Training centre, and is registered with suitable insurance (CTP & full comprehensive insurance). The Customer must provide the following a minimum of 48 hours prior to the training course and email copies to flrt@dodo.com.au for approval to be given:
Provide evidence of full comprehensive insurance (Certificate of Currency) , including written confirmation from their insurer that they are insured for use by an unlicensed rider undertaking rider licence training Provide evidence of current registration
Upon receipt of this paperwork, if it is in order, you will receive an approval to use yourown motorcycle, via email.
On Day of course student to do following: Arrive at course 30 minutes before the start time and: Motorcycle to be legally transported to and from the Training Range (i.e. transferred by trailer OR ridden by a suitably licenced rider) Student to sign a waiver relating to their use of their private vehicle within the course (Provider to organise this document) Complaint PolicyFine Line Rider Training is committed to providing excellent customer service and every attempt is made to deal with complaints within 48 hours, however, if you would like to submit a complaint we would like to assure you that we will act in an open and honest manner, and within clear time frames.
Complaints about other agenciesAny complaints regarding TfNSW or Services NSW policies or dealings should be directed to that agency.
TimeframesOur priority is to respond to complaints within 2 business days unless it involves a complex matter or requires specialist investigation. In these instances you will be kept updated on the progress of your complaint. We will endeavour to respond to queries at the point of escalation and preferably within 5 business days.

What happens when a complaint is received?Once a complaint is received it will be handled by one of our trained staff.Registering a complaint allows us to: monitor the number of complaints that are received track a complaint against the resolution timeframe enables us to refer your complaint to the relevant area for response assists in identifying areas that require improvement ensures you receive a prompt response
What if I want to remain anonymous?Although we won’t be able to respond to your concerns, anonymous complaints can provide us with useful information that can lead to service improvements. These complaints will be registered and referred to the relevant area for review.A response can only be given where sufficient contact information has been provided. At times we will need to contact customers to seek further information, which may not be possible if the complaint is made anonymously.
Who will contact the customer?You will be contacted by our management team.Once you are contacted, the person will try to resolve your complaint, or alternatively, you will be provided that person’s contact details so you can check on the progress of your complaint if it requires further investigation or input from another agency/person.
What if the customer is still not satisfied?If you are still not satisfied with our response, please advise us and we will organise to carry out an internal review.You can do this by contacting the person you have been dealing with and making this request. Your complaint will then be escalated internally to an appropriate person for review and response.
What will happen to any information I give you?The way we collect, store and use any of your personal information is regulated by law. Accidents: to first responders and interested parties and their insurers and lawyers when your vehicle or vessel has been involved in an accident or incident. Verification of Information and Documents: to verify the accuracy of the personal information you provide to us. The Commonwealth has established the Document Verification System (DVS) to enable secure online real-time checking of official documents. We will validate your driver licence when requested by a participant in the DVS and we will also use the DVS to validate documents you provide to us (for example, if you provide your passport to us as proof of identity) By Consent: to another person with your consent.Where Otherwise Permitted by Law: including for law enforcement purposes, or in response to a subpoena, court order, warrant or statutory demand under another law.Providing Your Personal Information
